1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 2 in Leeds

One Dies, Another Hospitalized after Leeds Car Accident on U.S. Highway 2

Leeds, North Dakota (April 11, 2020) – A person was killed and another was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident in Leeds, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash took place at around 3:48 p.m. Friday, April 10 on U.S. Highway 2.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a semi, a pickup truck and a tractor were all traveling eastbound in the outside lane of U.S. Highway 2 when, for unknown reasons, the semi struck the back of the pickup. As a result of the collision, all three vehicles veered off the roadway and into a ditch.

The tractor driver was flown to Devils Lake, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the pickup, Bradford Webster, 66, of Devils Lake, suffered major injuries following the crash. He was taken by a land ambulance to Devils Lake and was later airlifted to Grand Forks.

Eric Beaver, 44, of Devils Lake, the semi’s driver, was uninjured in the wreck.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
