1 Killed, 1 Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 76 in Denver

One Dies, One Hospitalized after Denver Car Accident on eastbound Interstate 76 near York Street

Denver, Colorado (April 6, 2020) – One person was killed and another was injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident involving three vehicles on Interstate 76 in Denver, according to a local news source.

At around 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, Colorado State Patrol received a report about the accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 76 near York Street.

The state patrol said a 2016 Dodge pickup truck, a 2016 Chevy van and a 2008 Mazda Sedan were involved in the crash.

The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

A 25-year-old man, who was driving the Chevy van, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  The driver of the pickup truck, a 49-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.

Tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles.
